The Maritime Tales & Legends Tour

Featuring NIGHT Tours onboard El Galeon & Nao Victoria!

Ghost Ships, pirate raids, nautical legends and tales from the high seas- get ready for an authentic journey into the 'darker' side of St. Augustine's maritime history! We've proudly teamed up with the Nao Victoria Foundation of Spain to offer this private, lantern-lit ghostly walking tour which ALSO includes a night-time visit to these magnificent vessels... after hours, when the sun has set and the spirits have become active! Your private group will have access to areas of the ships normally not open to the public during the day. Both the Galeon Andalucia as well as the Nao Victoria are authentic, wooden replicas of historic 16th century Spanish vessels. They now circle the globe annually, and we're very lucky to have them call St. Augustine Florida their home port for certain periods throughout the year. For more information on the ships and the Nao Victoria Foundation in Spain, please click here. The majority of the proceeds from these tours benefit this non-profit foundation to help keep history alive.

As the ORIGINAL Ghost Tours of St. Augustine, we are extremely proud to have been granted exclusive permission from Spain to actually bring our guests on board these fascinating ships at night during our tours! This enchanted evening tour is a MUST DO experience  when you are lucky enough to be in St. Augustine when the ships are here! This experience includes a visit and tour on board one, or even both of the vessels- depending on their US port schedules. You will begin your ghostly tour at our downtown office, where you'll then wind your way through St. Augustine's darkest off-the-beaten-path back alleys in search of the supernatural. Explore haunted sites and learn the chilling tales which made these old brick streets famous. Follow in the footsteps of buccaneers from eras past... and then once you've found your way to the City marina during the tour with your guide, you will actually board these eerie ships at night... if you dare! Enthralling tales of rogue escapades and ghosts at sea are shared among shipmates, as you meet and interact with the authentic Spaniard crew members who all actually live and work aboard the ships. Experience what life at sea on these ships was like both throughout history as well as now in modern times.

    HISTORIC GHOST SHIPS

For centuries 'ghost ship' folklore has haunted those who dare to make a living from the sea. The fear of phantom ships was a very real part of maritime heritage, and to this day persists in the culture of modern sailors. Pirates, bloody mutinies, deathly plagues, and other unexplained occurrences have shaped the very fabric of nautical history. As St. Augustine's ORIGINAL and most historically authentic Ghost Tour company, we're proud to be the exclusive local tour operator to have been granted special access from Spain to bring our tour guests on this unforgettable night-time ghost tour. Explore this important genre of St. Augustine's history on board these enchanting ships with us...

*Limited Availability- these tours only operate when one or both ships are in port in St. Augustine, and fill quickly.
